At Check-In Desk At the Boarding Gate Inside the Cabin
Notify staff of scooter Ride right up to the door Store battery under seat
Check main luggage Hand frame for Gate Check or in overhead bin
1. At Check-In
What to do: Inform the airline agent that you are traveling with a battery-powered mobility aid. Staff will issue a "Gate Check" tag for your scooter.
2. At the Gate
What to do: You can ride your scooter all the way to the airplane door or jet bridge. Before boarding, fold the scooter frame and detach the battery. Hand the scooter frame to the gate agent so it can be loaded into the cargo hold.
3. Inside the Cabin
What to do: Take the detached lithium battery with you onto the plane. Airline regulations require lithium-ion batteries to be carried in the passenger cabin, stored safely under your seat or in the overhead bin. Never check the battery in the cargo hold!
4 Essential Pro-Tips Before You Fly
Contact the Airline Early: Call your airline at least 48 hours before your flight to log your device details, including scooter dimensions and battery Watt-hour (Wh) rating.
Bring Product Documentation: Keep your user manual or battery spec sheet in your carry-on bag so airport security (like TSA) can easily verify compliance if asked.
Protect Battery Terminals: Turn off the main power switch before removing the battery pack, and ensure the contact ports are covered or taped to prevent accidental short circuits during travel.
Ready for your next journey? Pick your favorite Mobigogo scooter and travel the world with confidence and freedom!
